Sony today announced a new pair of Microsoft Teams-certified LinkBuds wireless earbuds. These are essentially the same earbuds that launched earlier this year but with a bundled USB receiver that can be plugged into a laptop and used to assign Teams commands and gestures to the earbuds, all from the Sony Headphones Connect app.

Sony says you can take calls, mute and unmute, as well as use the raise your hand feature during Teams meetings right from the buds. The Sony LinkBuds UC are priced at $ 249.99, which is $ 70 more than the regular LinkBuds model and come in a single gray color.

Sony also announced a new LinkBuds S Earth Blue model that features panels made from recycled water dispenser bottles. Buyers will get the benefit of exclusivity as there are no two models on the new earbuds. LinkBuds S retails for $ 199.99 with US deliveries scheduled for later this week.

The third announcement of the day is that all premium Sony wireless earphone models will receive multipoint pairing later this year via a software update. LinkBuds and LinkBuds S will receive the feature in November, while the best Sony WF-1000XM4 in-ear headphones will receive multipoint pairing by the end of winter.
