Google’s products typically see a lot of leaks, which has prompted the company itself to tease upcoming products in recent years to steal some of the spotlight from leaksters. But now, the leaksters have decided to once again improve the game – let’s see how Google can respond to this.

We’re talking a roadmap leak that reveals all the smartphones the company has planned from 2023 to 2025. The leaks don’t actually get any bigger than that, so let’s jump right in.

Google Pixel roadmap leaks, here's what to expect from next year and up to 2025

Next year, the Pixel 7a (codename “lynx”) and Pixel Fold (codename “felix”) will launch during Google I/O in April or May, which means there’s a high probability that they will be presented at the company’s annual developer conference. Although it has been called Pixel Notepad in the past, it seems that Pixel Fold will be the real commercial name of Google’s first foldable.

The Pixel 7a will be priced the same as the Pixel 6a, at $449 in the US. Expect the next model to bring support for wireless charging and a 90Hz refresh rate screen. The Pixel Fold, on the other hand, is “confirmed” (as far as rumor goes) to cost $1,799 .

Coming in 2023, the Pixel 8 will be slightly smaller than the Pixel 7, while the 8 Pro will retain the same screen size as the 7 Pro. Both will be powered by a new chipset, likely marketed as the Tensor G3. The Pixel 8 duo will not have many differences from its predecessors.

In 2024, there’s a plan to bring the Pixel 8a to market, but that could be scrapped in favor of a two-year launch cadence for the Pixel a series, depending on the sales success of the Pixel 7a (or lack thereof). If the Pixel 8a launches, expect it to cost $499, $50 more than its predecessor.

The Pixel 9 series will have three members: Pixel 9 (which is expected to keep the smaller size of Pixel 8), Pixel 9 Pro (approximately 6.7″ screen size), but also another Pro-level model with a 6″ display .3″ and all the features of the larger Pro. If that doesn’t make any sense, the point is that Google will emulate Apple: think of the new 6.3″ phone as its iPhone Pro, while the 6.7″ serves as its Pro Max. new SoC, the Tensor G4.

There will also be a new leaflet in 2024, but not much is known about it yet. There is speculation that Google is waiting to see how the Pixel Fold is received.

For 2025, the company could go in different directions depending on the success (or otherwise) of its strategy for 2023 and 2024. Google is apparently “playing” with the idea of a flip-style leaflet, and if that come true, it will be launched in the fall of 2025 along with the three plate pixels from that year (there will still be three like in 2024).

On the other hand, if the flip phone doesn’t happen, we’ll see four non-folding Pixels, with a vanilla model in small and large sizes, and a Pro model in small and large sizes. Apple all over again, Still.

All of this information is reportedly from a reliable source and presumably has been thoroughly vetted. That said, while these are 100% Google’s plans right now, don’t forget that plans can change, especially as you look so far ahead.
