A major Final Fantasy 7 Remake announcement could come later this week, with a reveal that could come during the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World tour performance on Saturday.

Motomu Toriyama, member of the Final Fantasy Committee and former developer Square Enix, confirmed that interesting news will arrive during the concert. Speaking in a Twitter video that is embedded below, Toriyama explains that the team will be sharing information on Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Toriyama explains: “There will be a special part of the concert where I will make an appearance and talk about some FF7R content that will only be revealed during this event, so please tune in!”

The event will take place on Saturday, February 13 at 5:00 PM JST / 3:00 AM EST in Toyko, with viewers able to watch the action on the Internet via a live stream available on the official Final Fantasy website.

It’s not exactly clear what this new content might be. It has been speculated that Square Enix will announce an Xbox One / Xbox Series X | S version of the game or an improved update for the PlayStation 5 port.

However, last year the publisher filed a number of marks related to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, including things called Ever Crisis and The First Soldier. This suggests that more DLCs or expansions may be coming to the game in the near future.

Of course, it’s also possible that the announcement could be something minor unrelated to additional content for Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Fans will just have to wait until Saturday to find out.
