Netflix, low cost subscriptions are coming thanks to the insertion of advertising: the platform anticipates the release, that’s when they will be available and the prices.
The streaming platform is working on new ones strategies to escape the crisis suffered in the last year. Netflix suffered a substantial loss in 2022, mostly due to competition as well as shared subscriptions.

Often the company has gladly announced measures regarding shared accounts. It initially decided to raise the prices for subscriptions that can be shared up to 4 people. At the moment the “basic” subscription for one device only costs 7.99 euros. The one for two devices 12.99 euros per month and the “premium” costs 17.99 per month and can be shared on four devices and allows for much higher video quality.
These increases and the increasingly fierce competition from other streaming platforms have meant that Netflix lost about 200,000 subscribers only in the first three months of 2022. The company has decided to provide for this situation with the launch of a new low-cost subscription plan with the inclusion of advertising. How does it work and how much does it cost?

It seems that the company has decided to anticipate the launch of the new subscriptions that should be available already starting from 1 November 2022. Netflix was ahead of its time, as they were scheduled for early 2023, and it seems to have done so mainly to beat the competition on time.
Also Disney + apparently it has decided to offer the possibility of subscribing to low cost subscriptions with advertisements. According to the most accredited sources, the new plan will initially be launched: in France, Germany, Australia, Canada and the United States. This should come at a price between 7 and 9 dollars per month and advertising could be inserted at the beginning and during the films or episodes of the TV series.
Apparently Netflix is considering introducing about four minutes of advertising hourly. In his intentions, according to the Guardianthere would be to limit the agreements to a few advertisers so as not to overdo the commercials.
We will see if the launch in the first countries will be a success: in this case also in Italy we should soon see the arrival of the new low cost passes. The offer expanded to famous TV series and films from Amazone Prime and Disney Plus has of certainly destabilized Netflix, one of the longest-lived platforms. Recently Netflix has also added new options regarding the audio that, with a new feature, can become like that of the cinema.
