Pokémon Go will have its first Community Day of the year on Saturday, January 16, with Niantic giving players a chance to collect all kinds of goodies during the six-hour event.
Players are looking forward to taking part in Community Day from 11am to 5pm local time.
The event will see Machop appear much more frequently, giving players the opportunity to stock up on Machop Candy. This can then be used to evolve Shiny Machop and learn a Community Day Payback exclusive move by having Machop evolve into his final Machamp form.
Players can also access a new Community Day Pack, a special collection of in-game items that can be purchased from the Pokémon Go store. The pack includes 1 Elite ChargedTM, 4 Incense, 4 Star Pieces, and 30 Ultra Balls. It will cost 1,280 Pokécoins.
There will also be a new special research story available on Community Day and extra stardust and incense bonuses, while trade distances will be increased to a maximum of 40km.
