Foldable devices are still quite expensive, but as always discounts help alleviate that. Amazon has the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 with 1TB of storage for £1,550, after a £300 discount and with a £200 coupon applied. The coupon is available for the other two memory configurations, 256GB and 512GB, but they are missing the first discount so the 1TB model ends up costing the same as the 256GB one.

If you like the other kind of foldable, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features a 6.9-inch 165Hz internal display and 3.6-inch cover (which runs at 144Hz), plus a Snapdragon chipset 8+ Gen 1. The 12+13MP camera is disappointing even by Flip standards, but that’s the phone’s only major flaw.

You can have the regular Motorola Razr 40 for £250 less. This has almost the same internal display (except the refresh rate is limited to 144 Hz), but the tiny display on the lid is a big downgrade. As well as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.

The Google Pixel 7a lets you get the Pixel experience without breaking the bank. This mid-range model has an HRR display, only 90Hz but still, and a 64MP main camera with in-sensor zoom, two things that can’t be said about the 6a. This offer also includes a 30W Google charger, which is more powerful than the 7a actually needs, but you can use it for other devices too.

Since these are non-foldable phones, the Motorola Edge 40 brings to the party a 6.55-inch 144Hz display to rival the Pixel 7a, even if its Dimensity 8020 chipset is less powerful than the Tensor G2. This also has faster charging: 68W wired and 15W wireless (compared to 18W wired and 7.5W wireless for the Pixel). The battery is almost exactly the same size (4,400 mAh versus 4,385 mAh), but the MediaTek chipset is more efficient and offers longer life.

The Nokia X30 comes with HMD’s 3-3-3 promise: 3-year warranty, 3-year OS updates and security patches. It’s from late 2022, so a year has already passed, but there are two more to go.

If you need something cheaper than the Pixel 7a and Edge 40, the Moto G73 might be the better choice. It’s significantly cheaper, but doesn’t make any compromises: it has a 6.5″ FHD+ display (120 Hz IPS LCD) and a Dimensity 930 for 5G connectivity. On the back there is a pair of 50+8MP cameras and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W wired-only charging inside.

Finally, let’s take a look at some Sony headphones. If you need TWS earbuds, the WF-1000XM5 are among the best money can buy with great audio quality and class-leading noise cancellation.

If you want over-ear headphones, the WH-1000XM5 are similarly one of the best options out there. However, the WH-1000XM4s hold up very well and can be found for £200. Check out our review for more on why you might want the XM5 or XM4.

If you want headphones for gaming, the Sony INZONE H9 are wireless headphones with an included dongle for a low-latency connection to a PS5 or PC. You can also connect a 3.5mm cable. In parallel, the headset can also connect to your phone via Bluetooth. These have ANC and 360 Spatial Audio, plus a much better microphone than typical over-ear headphones (which automatically mutes when you rotate your arm out of the way).
