The Honor Power2 launched in January with a massive 10,080mAh battery, but the brand isn’t resting on its laurels – far from it in fact. According to a new rumor from China today, Honor is already working on the Power3, and this could break the battery capacity record of traditional smartphones.

Honor is supposedly aiming for a battery capacity of 11,000-12,000 mAh, but the exact number has not yet been decided. The phone will be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8600 SoC.

The Power3 will have a 6.8-inch flat LTPS OLED screen with “1.5K” resolution. So compared to its predecessor, if these specs were met, it would have a larger 920-1,920mAh battery, the latest iteration of the same chipset (the Power2 uses the Dimensity 8500), and a screen of similar size and specs.

It may take a few months before Honor actually releases the Power3, so we have plenty of time to hear more rumors and leaks about it. Hold on.
