In recent years, Samsung has relied on a two-chipset approach for its Galaxy S series: its in-house Exynos SoCs in regions like Europe and Asia, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips elsewhere. The performance disparities between the two chipsets have naturally created consumer rifts, and Samsung may finally put an end to this practice.
Noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes Qualcomm will be the only chipset supplier for the Galaxy S23 series with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM-8550) powering all S23 drives worldwide.

Kuo believes Samsung is unsure of its upcoming Exynos 2300 chip’s performance over Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship in terms of computing power and energy efficiency. There is still a long way to go before we get to the presentation of the Galaxy S23 series, so more information will surely come to the surface.
