In March, the CEO and co-founder of Nothing, a tech startup, announced his plans to launch his Nothing (1) phone in the next year. He announced that he would launch a new smartphone later this year with a focus on minimalism and an alternative ecosystem to those of big tech companies like Apple and Samsung.

To give us a taste of the kind of minimalism we can expect from Nothing, the brand has released a launcher that can be installed on Android devices. Today, the company is bringing the beta launcher to multiple Android devices running Android 11 and above.

In addition, there is now a “How to Configure” page that users can refer to when installing the launcher. Other changes have made it easier for users to change the launcher wallpaper and offer a DropBox link for users to download bonus wallpapers and warning sounds. It can be accessed through the Nothing Launcher settings.

Nothing releases the beta launcher on the Play Store

The feedback provided to Nothing for its Launcher beta will be used to help the brand create its NothingOS skin which will be placed on Android.

The launcher was initially limited to the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S22 series, as well as the Google Pixel 5 and Google Pixel 6 smartphones, but with the latest update, the launcher can now be tested on multiple Android devices running the older Android version .
