It looks like Nio’s next smartphone is on track to be released this month as it has been officially confirmed for the September 21st announcement. It was just listed on the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website with a regulatory filing.
The document outlines a couple of changes made to the initial version of the phone which include external changes, software tweaks, calling options and also reveals two storage options – 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB. And unfortunately, that’s all we have from the list at this point. Photos of the phone should appear on the MIIT website soon enough, however.
Previous leaks suggest a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC behind the wheel, 100W fast charging, and perhaps even a smartwatch in the future.
