Just over two months after its launch, Nothing Phone (1) has amassed strong sales in India through its launch partner Flipkart. These numbers are particularly positive for a new player in a highly competitive market like India.
Speaking exclusively with us, Nothing India Vice President and General Manager Manu Sharma said that Nothing Phone (1) currently had over 100,000 customers in India as of the end of August. The brand managed to sell over 100,000 units in just 20 days of sales on Flipkart.

Sharma also stated that the Nothing Phone (1) is currently the best-selling smartphone on Flipkart in the price segment of over INR 30,000. The phone has received a strong customer reception, with over 10 million people choosing to notify the phone’s launch on Flipkart prior to launch.
Nothing also informed us that the company will soon release its fourth major software update, Nothing OS 1.1.4. While the company hasn’t worked out the exact release date and details of the update, Sharma said the update will provide fixes for key issues raised by customers, as well as improvements for things like the camera and battery.
When asked about the upcoming Android 13 update, Sharma pointed out that the company’s priority is to provide a good software experience in an accelerated release cycle. The release of the Android 13 update and the development timeline of the Phone (1) also made it difficult to incorporate the update earlier.
As for the future, Sharma hinted at upcoming ecosystem devices in the pipeline but refused to elaborate further.
Entering the holiday period in India, the Nothing Phone (1) will have limited time price cuts and cashback rewards. The 8 + 128GB model will be priced at INR 31,999 (currently 33,999), the 8 + 256GB model to INR 34,999 (currently 36,999) and the 12 + 256GB model to INR 37,999 (currently 39,999). Clients of select banks will also receive an additional 3000 INR refund.
