Nothing Phone (4a) training is complete in our office! Now we have both units side by side, so we can better show you the more nuanced differences. The Phone (4a) Pro stands out from its vanilla counterpart by its looks alone, and it becomes even more impressive when you hold it in your hand.

The most interesting comparison revolves around the Glyph interface: it’s a simple Glyph bar on the non-Pro model, and a full circular dot-matrix display on the Pro. Getting a little technical, the Pro has 137 LEDs, while the regular only has 63. As you might imagine, you can do all sorts of clever things with Glyph Matrix on the Nothing Phone (4th) Pro: animate your timer, different callers, you can even use it as a selfie display for the main camera, although it’s very difficult to tell exactly the difference what you are seeing.

Probably the biggest differentiator between phones (4a) is the build materials. The Vanilla has a plastic body, while the Pro ups the ante with an all-metal unibody. It weighs the same as the plastic phone, but is a few millimeters thinner, just under 8mm.

We like a phone made of metal here at GSMArena. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro earns its nickname and looks premium and refined. It doesn’t feel as large as its 6.83-inch display would have you believe.

Speaking of the display, there is another distinction between the two phones. In addition to being just a little larger than an inch, the Pro’s screen is also slightly brighter and faster at 144Hz (versus 120Hz).

Finally, let’s unbox the Pro. Like the regular phone (4a), it comes with a USB-C cable, a clear case, and Nothing’s ingenious SIM tool, which looks like a fuse. The Phone (4a) Pro is available in three colors: black, silver and pink and in three configurations: 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB. Prices start from €480//£500/₹40,000/$500.
