We heard a few days ago that the OnePlus 12 would be arriving in December, and today we can start the countdown to that point as a new rumor has exposed all of its most important specs. While it’s definitely an iterative update to the OnePlus 11, some of these iterations are quite substantial: the battery capacity, for example, but also the presence of the first periscope telephoto lens ever installed on a OnePlus device.

So let’s dive in. According to usually reliable sources, the OnePlus 12 will have a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate. At the helm will be Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is expected to be unveiled in October. Complementing it will be up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The triple camera system on the back consists of a 50MP main, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 64MP periscope telephoto. Weirdly though, today’s rumor claims that this will only be capable of 3x optical zoom, but we’ve only seen 5x and 10x periscopes so far, so we’ll have to take this one with a bigger dose than usual.

Anyway, moving forward, the selfie camera will be 32MP and the software, of course, OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. The alert slider is still active, as is an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus 12 will boast a massive 5,400mAh battery, with support for 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, and will still have a charger in the box. All in all, it’s shaping up to be quite the contender for next year.
