OnePlus finally has a leaflet: here is OnePlus Open. It’s a great first effort and brings with it the shorter and wider book-style folding design that makes operation much more comfortable. The Open is based on Oppo’s just-announced Find N3, but brings that phone’s excellent hardware to more markets globally.
When closed, the OnePlus Open has a 6.31-inch 2484x1116px LTPO 3.0 Super Fluid AMOLED display with a 10-120Hz dynamic refresh rate and an aspect ratio close to the conventional 20:9. The panel achieves a typical brightness of 1,400 nits and a peak brightness of 2,800 nits.
Inside the OnePlus Open you’ll find a 7.82″ 2440x2268px AMOLED Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 display with a 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate, 1.0758:1 aspect ratio and the same exceptional peak brightness.

The OnePlus Open is available in Voyager Black or Emerald Dusk (green), but European buyers will only get the former option. On the plus side, the black model is lighter at 239g, while the green one weighs 245g, both lighter than the 253g Galaxy Z Fold5. Oh, and OnePlus Open has the classic alert slider.

Leaked renderings of OnePlus Open
OnePlus Open really pushes the limits in terms of imaging. It has five cameras with Hasselblad tuning all around.
The main unit on the back is Sony’s new 48MP LYTIA-T808 “pixel stacked” sensor. It measures 1/1.43″ and has an optically stabilized 24mm f/1.7 lens on top. The so-called LYTIA T808 sensor features dual-layer transistor technology, essentially a redesigned pixel architecture that promises improved light sensitivity .
The ultrawide camera has a 48 MP 1/2″ sensor with 14 mm f/2.2 lens and autofocus. Then there is the telephoto camera with 64 MP 1/2″ sensor and 3x 70 mm f/2.6 stabilized lens.
There are two selfie cameras: one 20MP internal and one 32MP on the external display.

OnePlus Open brings Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the box with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of storage. The foldable is powered by a 4,805mAh battery with 67W charging support. OnePlus says it takes 42 minutes to go from 1% to 100%, and you should expect more than a day of use.

OnePlus open
When you open Open, you’re greeted by OnePlus Canvas, which OnePlus says is designed from the ground up for multitasking. OnePlus says 95% of mainstream apps support expanded display, and you can resize the active window in a multi-window setup to your liking. You can use up to three windows on the screen at any time, in both portrait and landscape views.

The OnePlus Open is available in a single 16/512GB storage configuration priced at €1,799 or £1,599. Pre-orders open today and will be active until October 26th. Those who pre-order will receive free OnePlus Buds 2 Pro, and there’s a 10% discount for students. Open sales begin October 27th. New OnePlus Open owners will also receive a 10% discount on the OnePlus Pad and a 30% discount on the Buds Pro 2, Nord Buds 2 and Buds 2R until November 30th.
