Ever since the first Galaxy S20 Ultra, the premium member of the S series has always had a 40MP selfie camera, but next year that could finally change. GalaxyClub the latest report states that we could see a new lower resolution sensor in the Galaxy S23 Ultra arriving in February 2023.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a lower resolution selfie camera

According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will finally have a new, updated selfie camera. They will reportedly be replacing the 10MP selfie camera with a 12MP one, and the S23 Ultra will include the exact same 12MP sensor.

At first, this may seem like an upgrade for S23 and S23+, but a downgrade for Ultra. But as many of you know, pixel count isn’t everything, so we might actually get better overall image quality. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll finally get AF to the fore. We can dream, right?
