In the middle of this month, Samsung officially announced the rollout of One UI 5.1.1 on its older foldables, starting with the Galaxy Z Fold4, which received it a day later. One UI 5.1.1 is the build that ships on the new Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 and offers some additional features that could prove quite useful.
Samsung has promised that the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 will receive an update to One UI 5.1.1 in due course, and the rollout began today in Europe and Asia.

The new build is F926BXXU5FWH5 for Fold3 and F711BXXU6FWH3 for Flip3. With the update, you get the August 2023 security patch level and a ton of new features.
Both the Fold3 and Flip3 get better app previews on the Recents screen, an easier way to switch between pop-up and split-screen views, and the ability to restore pop-ups snapped to the edge of the screen. Also, more apps can use Flex mode and Flex mode customizable toolbar with improved media controls of Flex mode.
The Quick Share feature has been improved, while Samsung Health improves sleep coaching, skin temperature measurements during sleep, as well as improved training summaries, goals, rewards and badges.

There are now more date and time styles for watermarks in the Camera app, improved remaster previews, effects that are easier to apply, and you can copy and paste filters and tones from one image to another.
You can drag and drop with two hands, Samsung Internet has made some layout improvements, Device Care has improved memory management, and My Files shows app cache information.
The Fold3 gets a few additional features, like an improved Flex mode layout for the camera’s Pro modes, a new option to select multiple images in Capture View, and you can hover the S Pen over a floating app icon to see a preview of said app.
As usual with updates, keep in mind that the rollout could be gradual, so it could take a few days (or longer) for new builds to reach all available Fold3 and Flip3 units out there.
