Last year, Sony launched its Xperia 1 IV in September and we are slowly approaching the one-year milestone, which suggests that we should look forward to the Xperia 5 V launch. Luckily for us, Reddit user JB2 unique shared an official looking promotional video for the next generation Xperia 5 phone.
The video shows the refreshed design of the Xperia 5 V which features a dual camera on the back. This likely means that the Xperia 5V will boast a wide and ultrawide camera setup and jump on the telephoto module that was featured on all four of its predecessors.
Design of the Xperia 5V
The front of the device looks almost identical to the Xperia 1 IV and we also have confirmation that the upcoming device will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will be available in at least three colors shown towards the end of the video: black, white and blue.
The only known specs for the Xperia 5V so far are that it will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and up to 16GB of RAM thanks to a Geekbench listing. We also got confirmation that the device will support 33W fast charging.
