Motorola’s cheap 5G offering, which, by the way, is one of the cheapest 5G offerings in some markets, is about to be released in India as well. The Motorola Moto G62 5G was launched on the global market last month, while India is yet to get it on August 11th.

The interesting part of this announcement is that the Indian version of the phone will offer a more powerful chipset. The European version we are currently reviewing runs on Snapdragon 480+, while Motorola confirms that the Indian iteration will be equipped with a Snapdragon 695 chipset.

The rest of the specs are likely the same, but it will be interesting to see if Motorola managed to keep the price tag pretty low at € 200 or if they managed to shave a couple of bucks for the emerging Indian market. After all, historically, India gets cheaper phones than Europe and the US.
