The vivo S16 series will officially arrive on December 22, the company revealed today. In preparation for subsequent sales, vivo has also set up a series of landing pages among retailers, revealing the full range: vivo S16 vanilla, vivo S16 Pro and vivo S16e.
The three devices will have a similar design with circular LED flash, as the phone’s target is young people who like to take photos and videos all the time.
The company hasn’t disclosed any specifics or details. So far, we can only trust rumors that all three phones will have 50MP selfie cameras with autofocus. The vivo S16e is said to run on Dimensity 1080, the vivo S16 on Snapdragon 870, while the vivo S16 Pro will sport the recently launched Dimensity 8200 chipset from Mediatek.
The previous series had fast charging of at least 66W, and we could see Vivo boost speeds to 80W on at least some of the new ones. They’ll be running OriginOS Ocean out of the box, but just like other vivo S devices, we’re likely to see them outside China rebranded as a vivo V smartphone.
