Last week, Google announced that it will bring back The Android Show: I/O Edition for the second year in a row. The event will take place before Google I/O 2026, scheduled for May 19 and 20.
Unlike last year, this year’s show will not be a live event. Instead, it will be streamed online and you can watch it using the video player embedded below. The 2026 Android Show I/O Edition begins at 10am PT (1pm ET / 5pm GMT) on May 12.
Google is expected to share several Android 17 announcements during the show, including new features and updates. Gemini’s AI is also likely to be a major target, among other things.
Notably, the company has teased that 2026 will be one of the biggest years for Android, so it will be interesting to see what Google has planned.
