Eleven years have passed since Xiaomi launched his original mi band and the series has now entered its tenth generation. The gang was the catalyst of Xiaomi’s rise in the wearable device market, managing to maintain its position as one of the best barrels for your dollar devices outside.
With the Smart Band 10 official now, Xiaomi has tried to perfect its best -selling wearable with some hardware updates and an increasingly slightly higher initial price.

The main additions to Banda 10 this year are the slightly larger and brighter screen together with the most accurate monitoring statements for health and activities. You are also obtaining an updated vibration engine in the same basic design practically unchanged for 7 days. So, do the new additions are worth the highest required price?
Project
Xiaomi has not changed much with the design of the Smart Band 10. It is always the same pebble -shaped album with its long and close AMOLED display. The new model has a larger diagonal of the screen, which measures 1.72 inches, compared to 1.62 inches on its predecessor.
The frames are thinner this time 2 mm on each side and are perfectly symmetrical.
The other large addition is the maximum updated brightness. The 10 now eliminates 1,500 Nits HBM brightness, which is at the top of 1,200 nit on its predecessor. It is a nice update that helps when using the Band 10 Outdoors in these Summer Sun. You still get the automatic brightness, which is what we used during our revision process and the always active display (AOD) when you just want to look at that moment.
Our revision unit is the ceramic edition. This is not the first intelligent Xiaomi ceramic band, but it is the first that makes its way to global markets. The side frame is made of ceramic, while the bottom, where we have the sensors, is still made of plastic.

The Ceramic Edition 10 band sports an elegant white color that emanates vibrations of Stormtrooper armor. The other immediately evident fact is what is heavier is heard than the past intelligent bands. Our revision unit weighs 26 grams alone and 44 grams with its Fluorober strap.
For the context, the normal version of the Banda 10, which has a metal shell, should weigh at about 16 grams without belt. Despite the added weight, the band 10 feels a little more premium in its ceramic finish.
We would like to go to a bribe here since the lack of physical buttons on the last four generations of intelligent bands Xiaomi has been a recurring discomfort for this particular reviewer.
We have already said it and we will say it again: reports the physical buttons! Or at least a capacitive back button? There is no way to turn on the band as well as attacking it to the magnetic charger. If you need to restart the band and you don’t have the charger with you, you are unlucky.
We are not yet convinced that the navigation model of the all-sipe gestures is the best way to go to a wearable, especially when your hands are wet, so we urge Xiaomi to take into consideration at least the idea of bringing the buttons for the Smart Band 11.

Characteristics
The intelligent gangs have left their mark as a tracker of economic activities and in recent years have approached equal functionality for smartwatches. But a band always presents its limits compared to smartwatches in all respects and the smart band 10 is no exception.
For one, it does not present a speaker, so you can receive notifications only for incoming calls without the possibility of answering. For obvious reasons (dimensions), there is no keyboard on the screen, so you cannot respond to the incoming messages. Our global version does not present NFC and Xiaomi connectivity has once again omitted a GPS receiver, so you need to bring your phone if you want to trace runs and other aerobic exercises.
Band 10 couples on Bluetooth 5.4 and has a multitude of sensors. These include an accelerometer, the gyroscope, the optical heart rate sensor, the oximeter wrist and the environmental light sensor. The new addition of this year is the electronic compass, which is a beautiful feature to have, but in our opinion, a dedicated GPS receiver would have been a more useful addition.
Another new addition is the ability to transmit cardiac frequency data during training to third -party devices such as a tachimeter of the cycle. Banda 10 is also guided by deeper execution and integration courses with the ecosystem of the Xiaomi Aiot devices, which allows you to check compatible Xiaomi devices and intelligent devices.
Smart Band 10 is provided with a new linear engine with an updated algorithm and personalized vibrations. It is possible to assign several vibration models for notifications, calls and arrival alarms. Xiaomi also added an option to buzz the wrist when scrolling to return to the menus, which is a good addition, but as we said previously, a physical or even capacitive button would have been a better option.

Banda 10 is waterproof 5 ATM, which allows you to bring it to the pool and can survive diving in fresh water up to 50 meters. Software and performance
Band 10 Boots Xiaomi Hyperos 2.0, which looks like and seems just like the previous generations of intelligent Xiaomi bands. It is an operating system in real time (RTOS) managed through strokes with a handful of first part apps and cards -based widgets. We would like to emphasize the lack of physical buttons here again, which makes the navigation of the user interface on this small and tight -fitting screen in more than one way.
The 60Hz screen leaves little to be desired in terms of softness, everything works as you would expect without delays or sobs. Banda 10 now offers a total of 26 pre -installed apps, including the new course app for execution, a compass app, activities and focus modes.
A remarkable addition on Banda 10 is the possibility of adding widgets directly from the band itself without entering the fitness app mi. Another positive is that Xiaomi has made the text on the display of the band 10 slightly larger than the band 9, which makes it easier to read the arrival messages and the elements of the system user interface.
As with any wearable Xiaomi, you will have to install the Mi Fitness app on the phone to start. This is your single shop to access health and activities data, as well as the modification, the management of the faces of watches and the installation of updates.

Xiaomi allows you to archive up to a month of health and training data and you can synchronize it with Apple Health, Google Fit, Strava and Suunto.
Some breaks that we had with the software include the lack of emoji support and the inability to use the band for anything else after starting a timer. For some strange reason, Xiaomi is still using the format of the United States date (MM/DD) which is not particularly useful for users of other regions.
Connectivity was fantastic during our revision period with the band 10 combined with an iPhone 15 Pro. We have not experienced missed notifications or connection interruptions.
Monitoring of health and activities
With Banda 10, Xiaomi also offers its most updated optical heart rate sensor together with the saturation of oxygen in the blood, sleep, stress metrics.
In our tests, we found readings of the cardiac frequency of the Banda 10 much more accurate than the previous Smart Band models both in rest mode and during training. We compared the results with a Huawei Watch Fit 3 and both devices showed similar values.
The previous Smart Xiaomi bands had a tendency to overcome the cardiac frequency data, especially at the beginning of training, but seems to be fixed with the 10 band.
The spo2 readings were generally accurate with a lesser deviation from what we measured with an impulse dedicated to the oximeter.
Sleep monitoring is not yet as accurate as the offers of other brands. 10 -strokes of sleeping inaccurate sleep, randomized sleep readings and rapid eyes movements (Rem) and deep sleep readings that were not true.

On the side of the monitoring of the activity, Banda 10 performed equally well as our reference Huawei Watch Fit 3. The two showed almost identical readings on heart rate during our example workouts, which included a racing combination at the treadmill and weight lifting. This is a great improvement compared to past Xiaomi intelligent gangs, which had a tendency to overcome heart rate data.

Banda 10 also obtains execution courses led by the device with basic options and advanced with faults at intervals. These are also adapted to walk, jogging and sprint running with beginners and advanced options. These training sessions can help you achieve specific objectives such as improving resistance to running, sprint times and lung capacity.
Battery life
Banda 10 presents a 233 mAh battery – just like the statements of the 9 and Xiaomi band can offer up to 21 days in typical use or 9 days with AOD.
In our tests, we found Banda 10 to last for 10 days with a single charge with all the health tracking features on next to AOD mode and notifications. Really impressive resistance from such a small tracker.
When you need to recharge, it takes about 50 minutes to return to 100%.
Verdict
Smart Band 10 is Xiaomi’s best voice in the series. The updated touchscreen AMOLED becomes considerably brighter than its predecessors and the text is easier for the eyes thanks to its larger display diagonal. The improvement of the vibrations engine is another beautiful addition and finally we are witnessing accurate readings of the heart rate, which deserves honors.
The construction quality is first -rate and the new ceramic edition is absolutely staggering. The battery life lasts comfortably for over a week and the infinite options of watches faces combined with the large pool of fitness tracking options should be sufficient for most users.
The accuracy of sleep monitoring leaves a lot to be desired and we would like to see a better management of notifications with the possibility of replying to incoming messages.
There are several large alternatives smartbands by Huawei and Honor that offer almost identical specifications and the possibility of taking requests for the same price as the band 10. But if you are looking for a more compact device that gives you accurate readings of heart rate, a bright amounted display and a battery life more than the week, then the band 10 should be on your list.
