We put the Samsung Galaxy S25 through our rigorous DXOMark Display test suite to measure its performance on four criteria. In these test results, we will break down the way it went to a variety of tests and several cases of common use.

Panoramic

Keys display specifications

  • 6.2 inches dynamic AMOLE 2X
  • Dimensions: 146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2 mm (5.78 x 2.78 x 0.28 inches)
  • Resolution: 1080 x 2340 pixels, (~ 416 PPI density)
  • Properties: 19.5: 9
  • Find updating: 120 Hz

Pros

  • Good readability, even in demanding lighting conditions
  • Excellent video experience in low light and indoor
  • Regular touch interactions in any case of use

Against

  • The adjustment of the car-wrightness is not adapted to the environments of low light and dark
  • Bad management of involuntary touches

The Samsung Galaxy S25 behaved very well for a premium device in our display protocol. The peak luminance of the device, measured at 2,600 nit, provided an experience of high -level laws, in particular in sunlight. Coring Gorilla Glass Victus 2 of the device is the same as last year’s classic S24 and is not equipped with an anti -reflective coating that is provided with the Ultra versions, which was a factor that contributed to the slightly lower legability score of the S25. Having said that, the Samsung Galaxy S25 offers a better reading experience for its segment.

The color rendering was not at the level of the Ultra flagship S25 since color shifts have been observed when the device was seen at the corner. But the Galaxy S25 shares some of its brother’s other good performance points, like a large range and a very accurate natural mode. However, the display also emits too much blue light in low light conditions to qualify for our eye comfort label.

The video performance of the S25, however, corresponded to the highest score of the Ultra S25, providing almost no drop of frame and adapted reproduction in lighting conditions.

Although the touch is not its stronger attribute, the S25 has still obtained better in terms of response time than the Ultra S25. Despite the trend of the screen to generate non -intentional touches, it still provides fluid interactions while browsing the web and the photo gallery.

Test summary

DXOMark display test information: For the score and analysis, a device undergoes a series of objective and perceptive tests in controlled laboratory conditions and real life. The Dxomark Display score takes into account the overall user experience provided by the screen, considering the hardware capacity and the software developed. In the tests, only video apps and photos installed in the factory are used. More in -depth details on how Dxomark tests are available in the article “A more attentive look at DXOMark display tests”.

The following section focuses on the key elements of our tests and exhaustive analysis performed in the DXOMark workshops. Complete relationships with detailed performance assessments are available on request. To order a copy, contact us.

As is composed as the readability score of the display

Readability evaluates the ease and comfort of the user to view content, such as photos or a web page, on the display under different lighting conditions. Our measurements performed in the workshops are completed through perceptual tests and analysis.

Ski stands for the mirror component included, which measures both the widespread reflection and mirror reflection. The reflection of a simple glass sheet is about 4%, while reaching about 6% for a plastic sheet. Although the first surface of the smartphones is made of glass, their total reflection (without coating) is usually about 5% due to more reflections created by the optical stack complex.
The average reflectance is calculated on the basis of the spectral reflectance in the visible spectrum interval (see graphic graphic) and the human spectral sensitivity.

Uniformity

This graph shows the distribution of the luminance during the entire display panel. The uniformity is measured with a 20%gray motif, with brilliant green that indicates ideal luminance. A bright green color evenly scattered on the screen indicates that the brightness of the display is uniform. Other colors indicate a loss of uniformity.

View the flicker for 2 main reasons: update and modulation speed of the width of the impulse. Modulation of the width of the impulse is a modulation technique that generates variable width impulses to represent the breadth of an analog input signal. This measurement is important for comfort because low frequencies can be perceived by some individuals and, in the most extreme cases, can induce convulsions. Some experiments show that the discomfort may appear at a higher frequency. A high PWM frequency (> 1500 Hz) tends to be less disturbing for users.

How the display of the display color is composed

Color assessments are performed in different lighting conditions to see how well the device well manages the color with the surrounding environment. The devices are tested with SRGB image schemes and display-p3. Both faithful mode and default mode are used for our evaluation. Our measurements performed in the workshops are completed through perceptual tests and analysis.

The circadian action factor is a metric that defines how light affects the cycle of human sleep. It is the relationship between the energy of light that contributes to sleep disorders (centered around 450 Nm, which represents blue light) on the energy of light which contributes to our perception (which covers from 400 Nm to 700 Nm and centered on 550 Nm, which is green light). A high circadian action factor means that environmental light contains strong blue light energy and it is likely that it influences the body’s sleep cycle, while a low matter of circadian action implies that light has a weak blue light energy and is less likely to influence sleep models.

How it is composed how to view the video score

The video attribute evaluates the video handling of the standard dynamic range (DSD) and the dynamic range (HDR10) in internal and poor lighting conditions. Our measurements performed in the workshops are completed through perceptual tests and analysis.

These calibers have the percentage of irregularities of the frame in a 30 second video. These irregularities are not necessarily perceived by users (unless they are all in the same TimesTamp) but are a performance indicator.

How the display of the display touch is composed

We evaluate the touch attributes in many types of content in which the touch is the key and requires different behaviors such as the game (quick touch to the response time), web (regular scrolling of the page) and images (accurate and regular navigation from an image to the other).
