Oh man, where do I even start with DinoKnights?
This game is an absolute rollercoaster, and I mean that in the best way possible. I stumbled upon it while browsing for something new to kill time, and let me tell you, it did way more than that—it transported me to a whole new world!
So, the gist is you're in this medieval realm, but with a twist. Instead of your typical knights riding horses, you’ve got these epic dino mounts. Yes, you read that right, dinosaurs!
The moment I read that, I was sold. Who wouldn’t want to ride a T-Rex into battle, right?
The storytelling is on point. Like, I’m not usually one to get super invested in game narratives, but this one had me hooked. You get to make choices that actually impact the story, and it’s wild how much control you have over the outcome. I found myself legit stressing over some decisions, like, “Do I want to be the hero or the rogue?”
It’s cool to see how your choices shape your character and the world around you.
I remember reading a review from this one dude who said he was blown away by how deep the character development goes. And honestly, he wasn’t exaggerating. The emotional depth is real. You get attached to your dino (mine was named Spike, and he was a badass triceratops) and your companions. There was a moment where I had to choose between saving a friend or going for glory, and I legit had to pause and think.
It’s that immersive.
The graphics aren’t the main focus, but they totally do the job. The imagination here is what counts, and your mind fills in the blanks beautifully. Plus, it’s text-based, so it kinda feels like those choose-your-own-adventure books from back in the day, but way cooler.
A shoutout to the developers for creating such a unique experience. If you’re into RPGs and love a good story with a twist, do yourself a favor and dive into DinoKnights.
It’s a wild ride, and I promise you’ll have a blast. Just be ready to make some tough calls and maybe shed a tear or two.
