Upon testing, if selecting the file "idapro.hexlic" located in "C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0\cracked+lic" returns the following error:

Could not load licenses: Signature decryption failed with code: -2


This happens because there's a missing step in the installation instructions, I guess.

From inside: "C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0\cracked+lic", files:

ida.dll
ida32.dll

must be moved up one directory, exactly to: "C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0\"

This will fix the issue


Also, I'm afraid there are no instructions about how to install the plugins.

2. Close the Application completely (Even from system tray and task manager)
3. Copy the Cracked file(s) from hexvault_client_90_cracked folder to C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0
- Copy the Cracked file(s) from hexvault_server_90_cracked folder to C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0
- Copy the Cracked file(s) from cracked+lic folder to C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0
4. Confirm replacing if asked
5. Open Application and choose idapro.hexlic file if prompted
6. Enjoy the Application

Maybe I'm missing it, but where does it tell how to install the provided plugins?

Copy the Cracked file(s) from cracked+lic folder to C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0

Where it says to copy the content of the folder, those two files are in the folder to be copied.

Maybe we're talking about two different things. I refer to the zipped files named:

plugins.zip
misc.zip
signatures-bundles-9.0.zip

Oh, the plugins are just extracted and copied into the PLUGINS folder, C:\Program Files\IDA Professional 9.0\Plugins\

Gotcha, it would be easier if it was explained in the readme or up above the thread, in the Installation Instructions

What about the misc.zip and signatures-bundles-9.0.zip files?

The signatures-bundles-9.0 is extracted an files go into SIGS folder.

The misc are CLI scripts and do not have a specified location.

Ah, the assumption that anyone trying to use this tool already know what it is and how to use it.

Sorry to contradict you, @Snailsoft, but I've been using IDA Pro since 2014 and I've never had the need to use or deals with plugins, misc and signatures, and yes, I do definitely know how to use it, therefore I guess your assumption was not correct, as knowing how to use IDA doesn't necessarily mean someone knows how to deal with every single feature it comes packed with.

I suppose it is a matter of how one applies this tool, and it has so many applications.
I wanted to provide as much as possible in one archive so nobody needs to go looking.
They are all optional features, plugins, sigs, misc.

Just trying to upgrade to 9.0 only person iv seen saying its a cracked version but this is all that came with the download im alittle confused i cant find a dll or anything. I have read the conversation above trying to make sense of this but i can not. Please tell me what im missing ?

Is the large setup exe in the windows folder?

Unfortunately as I said, I cant confirm what is or isnt in this release as I have a newer version installed, it is pointless for me to downgrade to this older release but maybe Snailsoft can confirm
