PC market posted another disappointing quarter, shipments worldwide contracted 29% year-over-year according to latest IDC extension relationship. Based on preliminary data, the total number of PCs sold in January-March was 56.9 million units, which is 23.3 million units less than the Q1 2022 total. 5% between Q1 2022 and Q1 2023.

Lenovo remained the global leader in total shipments with 12.7 million units and 22.4% market share. HP finished second with 12 million shipments and 15.8% market share, while Dell completed third place with 9.5 million shipments or 13.7% of the market. Apple came in fourth with 4.1 million shipments and 7.2% market share, while Asus came in fifth with 3.9 million shipments and 6.8% market share.
