OnePlus has announced that some of its midranges will receive a new version of the user interface in the fourth quarter of 2022. Starting today, OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 10R owners will be notified about a software update, and even better: it’s a Stable OxygenOS 13, based on Android 13.
OxygenOS 13 was presented in August together with OnePlus 10T. OnePlus calls the UI design “Aquamorphic Design” and it’s quite similar to ColorOS 13; there’s also an exclusive partnership between OnePlus and Spotify that Oppo also got, as we established in our review.
OnePlus’ latest UI features spatial audio, Dolby Atmos support for select devices, and improved app streaming. There is also the 2.0 version of Private Safe 2.0 which allows you to store files and media out of reach of normal apps.
