I checked it out, and have found that the Devs have recently updated the game and with this update they also patched out the modification so it no longer works.

The developers have patched out this mod which means this method will no longer work.

If you want you can make an official mod request for this game and see if someone else can mod it to unlock all stories, you can also request that they mod in other features of your choice.

Unfortunately, I am not actively modding at the moment, and any mods or patched apk's i do release are ones I've made for myself and later decided to share here. This game is one of those.
