The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra features a 10MP 3x telephoto camera, which was rumored to be replaced with a 5x unit on next year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, reliable informant Ice universe claims that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 50MP 3x telephoto lens, which, if true, will be a significant upgrade over the 10MP 3x telephoto lens in terms of resolution.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Samsung is said to be using the same 200MP sensor as the S23 Ultra on the S24 Ultra, while the 10x periscope unit is expected to feature minor improvements, but it’s unclear if there will be any updates to the 12MP ultrawide unit.
As for the front-facing camera, Samsung is said to continue using the 12MP selfie shooter from the S23 range on the S24 series. However, we expect software-level optimizations from Samsung for improved selfies and video calling.
