HOW TO INSTALL WITHOUT ROOT:
(1) Install the google playstore version first ,or if already installed open it. Once your game/base is loaded, connect to your Facebook account in game.
(2) Close the game, uninstall it and install the mod version(do this step as quickly as possible). Once the game opens and gets passed the google play login screen, hit skip as soon as possible and you'll get into your base.

Thanks sbenny. It worked one time and now the game force closes. any suggestions?
*UPDATE* I ended up uninstalling the game and reinstalling and was able to play again (the enemy has one hit kills on me as well) with some success. After exiting the app, I can only get to the screen showing my base then the game immediately force closes without allowing any game play

I dont typically keep Google Play Games installed mainly just to avoid the game syncing. Is this possibly why this install method is not working for me, you think?

Yeah I dont use that horrible app so it definitely wasn't that.
So...hmmm...Ill have to test it out after reinstalling Google Play Games. Thanks for the response!

I figured out how to fix the freezing crashing issue. I think the cause is when you have the play store verson and sign in like nomal and then you installed the modded verson over the play store verson by disabling signature verification using Lucky Patcher . atleast that how I did it in the past with this app.
The solution
first you must have root and install Titanium Backup
install star wars commander from the play store and launch it and synchronize your data using face book or good play the important part is you load your data
next close the app and open Titanium Backup and back up star wars commander.
now uninstall star wars commander and install the modded apk and dont open the app yet
open Titanium Backup again and go to star wars commander and select restore data only. wait for that to complete and you should be good to go

I have tried this guide you made. It works.
I'll have to admit though that I do not like the one hit kill because the base you are attacking also benefits from the one kill on you. I joined this site just for this game but have been let down. There are other superb mods here. People doing great work that I cannot do and they deserve their due...just not on this one

since the enemy has 1 hit kill i always use only infantry and i deploy a single soldier near the drodekas to lure them out and then have my troops kill them. and when it comes to barracs and the factories that spawn infantry and vehicles I always take them out first or search for another opponent.

its all about luring the enemy and then using the 1 hit kill

My advice is to NOT use this mod on active bases but ONLY for Dev bases to avoid a ban

I installed the "SUPER TROOPERS VIP MOD APK" but the "God Mode (All Turrets do not deal damage to Troops)" is not working.
Only "1 Hit Kill (for all Troops)" works.
