OnePlus’ next foldable phone, dubbed the OnePlus Open, has been in the news for the past couple of months, and there’s little we don’t know about the device. We recently covered all the details surrounding the upcoming foldout, or at least the ones we already know about.

A known informant Max Jambor on Twitter summarized most of the specifications in a single tweet but also added new information: OnePlus Open will most likely be based on Oppo Find N2. He’s been a significant contributor to the OnePlus Open leaks over the past couple of months, so you probably know what he’s talking about.

Sure, the Open will have a design of its own but it will adopt the form factor of the Oppo Find N2 which means we can expect roughly the same size and feel. And to some extent, it makes sense. The Find N2 is only available in China, so the OnePlus Open is a way to introduce this rather competitive foldable device to Western markets, albeit under a different name.

According to recent rumors, we won’t be left guessing for much longer as the device will arrive on August 29 and will also be available in the United States.
