Last year, Xiaomi launched the world’s thinnest foldable phone with the Mix Fold 2 and a year later Xiaomi is bringing the Mix Fold 3 as a worthy sequel with updates across the board.
Starting with the profile, the Mix Fold 3 is even slimmer than its predecessor, measuring just 5.26mm when unfolded and 10.89mm when folded. Xiaomi engineers designed a new vertically stacked motherboard that helped reduce the size of the phone.
Xiaomi has also developed a brand new proprietary hinge that is made up of 198 components and takes up 17% less internal space. The new hinge features a 3-piece construction and 14 micro-hinges that interlock into the main folding display for increased durability and a ceramic carbon steel rotation mechanism. Mix Fold 3’s new hinge also supports a 45° to 135° hover opening that allows you to prop up your phone like a mini laptop.

Mix Fold 3 has two E6 OLED displays. The 8.03-inch LTPO main panel offers a resolution of 1,960 x 2,160 px and a variable refresh rate of 120Hz. The panel features Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) and offers HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support.
