Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Pad SE and we have just had the tablet with us for a review. It’s advertised as a budget entertainment device, and we’re eager to see how it fares for the low price it’s offered.

4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage – the cheapest variant – which still has all the cool features like the big screen and battery.
The chipset is a Snapdragon 680, built on the 6nm process technology. It’s a fairly old platform, having arrived in early 2021, but we don’t expect a powerhouse in this price category. In fact, this could be a great SoC for the Redmi Pad SE – we’ll know for sure after running our regular tests and benchmarks. Our first impressions of performance are that the UI is smooth, and 90Hz could prove worthy when browsing or using the native player.
Speaking of the user interface, Xiaomi has introduced MIUI Pad 14, which is an adapted version of MIUI 14 for large screens.
