OnePlus is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a big event in China on December 4, when the OnePlus 12 smartphone will be revealed to the local public. The global launch is expected to happen somewhere in January 2024, according to tipster Max Jamboor, who has an excellent record with OnePlus leaks.

The leak suggests the arrival of the “OnePlus 12 series”, which means there will be more than one phone. Whether it will be a more powerful 12 Pro or a more subdued 12R, we have yet to see. There could also be a Lite version: in the world of voices, the possibilities are endless.

OnePlus 12 could go global in January 2024

The OnePlus 12 is expected to have a 6.82-inch LTPO panel, developed by BOE, with a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits. We’re also expecting a new triple camera with a 48MP dual-layer Lytia 808 main sensor from Sony, a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor 3x telephoto lens, and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle shooter.

The phone is most likely to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and support for 100W wired charging, at least in China. We have to wait until January to find out whether OnePlus has addressed how SuperVOOC adapters work in 110V sockets or whether the US variant will again have a slightly reduced charging speed like the OnePlus 11.
