A brand new Resident Evil game was leaked ahead of its official reveal during the unveiling coming later today.
According to the leak, the project is called Resident Evil Re: Verse and will be included in Resident Evil Village. This has led to speculation that Resident Evil Re: Verse could be some sort of multiplayer mode for the next game in the series.
The Humble Bundle Store inadvertently announced the project’s existence and its name today. The online store has even posted a link to the official Resident Evil Re: Verse website, although there is currently no content on the page. Both links have since been taken offline.
Capcom will likely be annoyed that Resident Evil Re: Verse leaked ahead of the Resident Evil Showcase. The event will take place today, January 21 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET.
Fans are likely to find out more about what exactly Resident Evil Re: Verse is and how it will work during the showcase.
