  For those of you who have played the XCOM remake - Here is an Android version. The game has been removed from the Google Play store, though the expansion game XCOM: Enemy Within is still available, as is XCOM 2.
  
  For those of you who have played the original XCOM games, this remake brings a simplified interface and combat to the game. The difficulty is definitely reduced from the original games but that's a small comfort if you blunder into a Chrysallid nest. If you were one of those who thought Terror From the Deep was too easy, maybe this isn't really for you.
  
  Personally, I loved the XCOM series (even if the original DOS versions were unintentionally hard). The remake games are even better in my opinion, with more action and less waiting. Combat is much smoother, and if it is a bit easy, especially in the early game, at least it's not as soul crushing as the originals.
  
  If you haven't played XCOM at all before, it is a tactical combat game where you try to protect the earth from alien invaders. You lead a small organization called XCOM sponsored by a council of world leaders. Aliens have started to abduct people off the street and it's up to your team to take the fight back to them - on the ground, in the air, and even in space. You will need to research new technologies and build advanced prototype weapons and armor in order to combat similar advances made by your foes. If you ignore too many alien incursions in a country, the government of that country will fall in line with the alien horde and your funding will be cut, putting your research projects and resupply at risk.
  
  Your XCOM squad members have roles which dictate their special abilities and standard weapons, but they can also be customized pretty easily. As they gain experience they also gain new abilities which can help turn the tables in battle.
